Rogers apologized Wednesday to his neighbors for his naked rooftop preaching antics, saying he “ate some `mushrooms’ and bugged out.”

The rest of this apology needs a block quote so we can focus on one key detail:

“It obviously was not an everyday experience,” the 24-year-old athlete said. “It was a very out-of-body experience. I’ve never had an experience like that.”

Rogers pulled off his boxer shorts about 6:40 a.m. Monday and climbed onto the roof of the two-story house he shares with roommates on Havemeyer Lane and Goodman Avenue.

“It was obviously something I shouldn’t have done,” Rogers said as he rolled a marijuana joint in his bedroom. “It was just something that happened.”

Yes, the guy who was on hallucinogenic drugs and yelling from his roof then rolled a joint during his apology interview.

His roommates, who had told police about him being on drugs, sadly did not videotape this all for YouTube purposes. Some roommates they are.

According to Rogers, he was talking about God and preaching to his neighbors. “I literally was walking on the edge,” he said. “They said my balance was amazing.”

Jereme Rogers is heavily religious and has “In God I Trust” tattooed on his neck.

In this case his trust in God paid off, but if he keeps going up on his roof while on drugs, a Darwin Award will be in his future.

You have to be a little bit crazy to do extreme sports in the first place, so it’s only natural that one of the best, Travis Pastrana, would also be one of the craziest.

Watch as he rides a child’s tricycle down a huge ramp, then manages a backflip just before he smashes in to the ramp on the other side.

The video is labeled as his third attempt, so we’re left wondering just how the first 2 went. Judging by how big that ramp is and how small that tricycle is, he’s lucky he even made it to that third try.
