Italy & Canada Brawl During Basketball Friendly

During a friendly international exhibition, teams will usually play at about 75%, going through the motions while they warm up for more serious competition.

Not Italy and Canada. The two teams brawled over the weekend, with Canada preparing for the 2009 Tournament of the Americas and Italy getting ready for the Eurobasket tournament.

Italy’s Stefano Mancinelli got things started by sucker-punching Canada’s Aaron Doornekamp. Much pushing ensued, with the 2 coaches even getting involved. NBA players Andrea Bargnani and Marco Belinelli also make appearances in the video, playing peacemaker roles.

These two teams are certainly ready for any fights that might pop up during their upcoming tournaments, so watch out world.
