Austin Kearns Slides Into Imaginary 1.5th Base: Video

Perhaps the Washington Nationals would be a better baseball team if they were allowed to create some additional resting points in between bases.

Austin Kearns did just that after getting caught in a rundown on his way to 2nd against the Colorado Rockies last night. As the ball was thrown behind him to 1st, Kearns then slid into a brand new base, which we will call 1.5th base. The rundown continued, and Kearns was eventually thrown out.

The video clearly needs some yakety sax, which some wonderful person has provided for us.

As always, head over to DC Sports Bog for more Nationals Fail.
