Mets Fan Becomes First Streaker At Citi Field: Video
Citi Field was christened with its first streaker tonight, and those responsible documented the entire thing.
Unless this guy wears an orange banana hammock every day and always has “Let’s go Mets” painted on his back, this wasn’t a spontaneous streaking, as confirmed by the video intro.
The streaker jumped from the stands along the right field line, then slid into 2nd base. He then ran to shallow center field where he allowed himself to be taken into custody by security, who were undoubtedly glad that they didn’t have to wrestle with a man wearing only an orange thong.
Meanwhile, the streaker’s friend and cameraman bragged about his best friend while calling him a racial slur. Classy!
So there you have it. Citi Field gets its first streaker, and the New York Mets have now pulled even with the Phillies in the NL East race to see who can have the most fans run on the field this season. Interestingly, the Atlanta Braves have been the opposing team for both incidents.
More videos of the streaker at Citi Field can be seen below, and more will be added once they make their way to YouTube:

Another nice view of the streaker being taken off the field.
This video best shows the crowd’s reaction. The streaker got a standing ovation from many fans.
