Video: Sidney Crosby First Career Fight, First Career Gordie Howe Hat Trick
Sidney Crosby has a reputation among many non-Pittsburgh Penguins fans for being weak and being a whiner. That might change just a bit after tonight’s game against the Boston Bruins. In the 2nd period, after he had already notched a goal and an assist, he dropped the gloves with Andrew Ference. That, my friends, is a classic Gordie Howe hat trick.
Crosby held his own in the battle, bloodying Ference. Of course, he did have a face shield on during the fight, which will inevitably draw some criticism.
As for the game, the Penguins stormed out to a 4-0 lead, then blew that lead and ended up winning in a shootout.
